If We Don’t Do Anything, What Are We Doing?

Cultures of Doing so deeply entrenched

    in our psyche

    in our society

    in funding expectations

    in our partnerships.

If we don’t Do anything, what are we doing?

Self identities defined by

    What We Do.

But Doing requires a plan.

    timeline

    deadlines

    money

    capacity

    energy.

What do we DO when we don’t have that?

Burnt out

Broke

Overcommitted

Overstretched

AI will not solve the

    Problems of Late Stage Capitalism.

Planning prioritizes efficiency.

Planning prioritizes speed.

So does planning prioritize

    White Supremacy Culture?

… So … what do we … Do?

Back to basics?

sit under a yellow acacia tree with friends

avoid sitting on a safari ant

make sure the fish eagle doesn’t snatch your lunch

Cultures of doing are different.

Not everything fits in a theory of change.

Not doing is a privilege. A luxury sometimes it

    doesn’t feel like we have.

But maybe that too is

    part of unlearning.

We don’t always have to be

    bustling. moving. active. engaging.

Seek out seasons of rest. slowness.

Stopping.

What fills the space once

we stop

Doing.
